Australian Natural Hydrogen Conference: Helios keynote talk on “Building a global natural hydrogen portfolio – opportunities and challenges”

28th October 2024

The Natural Hydrogen Association of Australia’s inaugural conference will be held October 29-31 in Adelaide (https://www.nh2a.com.au/anhc-2024).

Helios will outline the company strategy for growing a quality global exploration portfolio  and highlight some of the key factors impacting the industries trajectory.

Helios aims to commence production from the Monzon Natural Hydrogen Project this decade whilst continuing to expand global activities. Primary focus remains Europe with affiliates in Poland, the UK and exploration activity in other central European countries. Operations have been expanded to Oman and permit applications are pending in Europe and Asia-Pacific, including Australia.

Building a quality global portfolio takes discipline, time and funding to screen the geology of prospective basins for likely natural hydrogen accumulations. However, geology is only one of four enablers which need to be satisfied to meet strict investment criteria: quantifiable potential; legislation; market access; and supportive stakeholders.
